Teija Lehtimäki , formerly Teija Kuntola (born July 6, 1981 ) is a former Finnish biathlete .
Teija Lehtimäki first took part in the 2001 European Junior Championships at a major international event. At the competitions in Haute-Maurienne , a 27th place in the individual was the best result. It was not until the Summer Biathlon World Championships in 2007 in Otepää that she took part in title fights again. Here she was eleventh in the mass start race and seventh in the relay in the cross-country competition. In 2008 she also made her debut in the senior winter biathlon competitions. She ran her first race in Osrblie as part of the Biathlon European Cup . The Finn was 23rd in the sprint and 22nd in the pursuit and qualified for participation in the 2008 Biathlon World Championships in Östersund . There she was 84th in the sprint, 67th in the individual and 15th with the relay.
In the sprint in Trondheim, Teija Lehtimäki finished 32nd in the 2008/2009 season and thus won her first points in the World Cup. In February 2010 she won an IBU Cup race for the first time with a sprint in Haute-Maurienne .
