Teixeira is a small town ( Vila ) and former municipality in Portugal .

Teixeira was the seat of a community of the same name ( Freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) of Arganil in the Coimbra district . 135 inhabitants lived in the municipality on an area of 18.68 km² (as of June 30, 2011).

As part of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Teixeira and Cepos were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Cepos e Teixeira .
