Teixeira , officially Município de Teixeira , is a Brazilian city ( município ) in the northeastern state of Paraíba with an estimated 15,191 inhabitants on July 1, 2017 on an area of 114 km².
The city in Sertão, possibly founded in 1761 by Francisco da Costa Teixeira , experienced various periods of drought .
The distance to the capital of the state of João Pessoa on the Atlantic is about 325 km.
