Telepyne ( Ukrainian Телепине ; Russian Телепино Telepino ) is a village in the Ukrainian Cherkassy Oblast with about 1,600 inhabitants (2001).
The village was founded in the 16th century in a neutral zone between Poland and Turkey; Another source mentions 1766 as the year of foundation. The population in 1885 was 1796 and by 1897 the number of inhabitants increased to 3199 inhabitants, but fell again to 2464 by 1972 and to 1652 inhabitants by 2001.
Telepyne is the only village in the district council of the same name in the southwest of Kamjanka Rajon .
The village is located at an altitude of 126 m on both banks of the Hnylyj Taschlyk ( Гнилий Ташлик ), a 67 km long left tributary of the Tyasmyn , 21 km west of the district center of Kamjanka and 62 km south of the center of Cherkassy oblast .
