Our Survival Depends on Us is a Founded in 1999, post-metal - band from Salzburg , Austria .
history
The band was founded in 1999 by Mucho Kolb and Mani Eibner and released their first demo Breathe in 2000 . Then Thom Kinberger joined as the second singer and guitarist and Hajot Gmeilbauer (Thelema, Sturmpercht ) on the keyboards, both of whom were previously active with Kolb at Soulsearch . Until Barth Resch (ex- Belphegor ) joined, the band played with changing bassists. After two albums, founding member Eibner left the band and Thomas Apfelthaler took over the drums. Our Survival currently releases Depends on Us on Ván Records .
style
In the Skug magazine Heinrich Deisl described the music of Our Survival Depends on Us, who see themselves as an artist collective, as "Modern Pagan Folk Music" whose "sound mantras for a better morning after the apocalypse drift in the direction of existential maelstrom and glistening light".
