Ván Records is a German record label based in Herzogenrath . It was founded in 2004 by Sven Dinninghoff, who was a member of the black metal bands Nagelfar and Graupel in the mid-1990s . It comes from the environment of the Wòd-Ván, an association of befriended Black Metal fans from the vicinity of Aachen , which in turn was founded by Dinninghoff and other members of Nagelfar. Mainly German and Dutch bands are under contract .

history

The label's first release was the album Unlock the Shrine by The Ruins of Beverast . While the early releases can all be assigned to Black Metal or related currents, albums by bands from the genres of Doom Metal and Hard Rock as well as related styles were also released later . The latter area includes The Devil's Blood and Vanderbuyst , both of which were founded by former members of the Dutch metal band Powervice.

In 2011 Ván Records first cooperated with music magazines. Fire Burning by The Devil's Blood was released as a 7 "single in addition to the regular label edition , both as a CD insert for Rock-Hard magazine and Sweden-Rock magazine, each with exclusive bonus tracks.

In addition to their own publications, which are mostly available on CD and vinyl , Ván Records also releases LP versions of albums by various non-label bands such as Count Raven and Wolves in the Throne Room .
