Music genre

When recording The Thousandfold Epicenter , The Devil's Blood again combined hard rock played with powerful guitars with psychedelic elements. They used organs ( Fire Burning ), but also orchestral passages, as in the intro of the title track.

The album was named album of the month by Metal Hammer magazine . Jacob Kranz awarded 7 out of 7 points. The album was also named Album of the Month in Rock Hard magazine . Götz Kühnemund awarded 9.5 out of 10 points and wrote: "The Thousandfold Epicenter has everything a classic rock record can have" . On metal.de , the editors' ratings varied between 5 and 9 points. In the Hamburger Abendblatt, Holger True called The Thousandfold Epicenter an "album as if in a frenzy" and spoke of an "addictive mixture" of psychedelic rock and "melody-loving power metal ". Thomas L. from Nonpop praised the album as a “consistent continuation” of its predecessor, the band “fortunately remained absolutely true to themselves” and made changes “only in detail”.
