Televisión de Galicia (also known as A Galega ) is an autonomous Spanish television broadcaster in Galicia . He belongs to the Compañía de Radio-Televisión de Galicia . TVG started on July 25, 1985 with the film Mamasunción by Chano Piñeiro , after a test period until September 29 of that year, TVG started broadcasting 39 hours a week. Nowadays she broadcasts 168 hours a week, 70% of the programs come from her own production. On 31 December 1996 the emission beginning of Galeusca (a sister channel) in America and on 17th May 1997 launched its website. The transmitter is based in San Marcos in Santiago de Compostela . The entire program of the station is broadcast in Galician , with the exception of a few commercials.

TV Galicia broadcasts digitally via the Astra 1M satellite on 19.2 East.
