The Tennkogel is a 1975  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Ankogel group in the Austrian state of Salzburg .

The Tennkogel is located southeast of Schwarzach im Pongau and is in front of the Heukareck ( 2100  m ) to the east. In its east lies the Grossarl Valley . The northeast slope, criss-crossed with crags , drops steeply to the mighty Liechtenstein gorge, which the Grossarlbach created before it flows into the Salzach . To the west of the mountain is the Obere Tennalm , to the south the Igltalalm ( 1501  m ).
