The Tennkogel is 2333  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Ankogel group in the Austrian state of Salzburg .

It lies on the ridge between the upper Grossarl Valley in the east and the Gastein Valley in the west, immediately above Bad Hofgastein . Neighboring mountain in the north is the scrap wall ( 2318  m , survey point), in the southeast is the Frauenkogel (summit cross, 2424  m ). A marked hiking trail leads along the ridge from the 2159  m high Schmalzscharte over the Frauenkogel to the Tennkogel. You can get there from Bad Hofgastein via the Rastötzenalm ( 1740  m ) or from the east from the Großarltal. From the south there is also a path over the ridge, which can be reached from the Gamskarkogel ( 2467  m ) or from the Grossarltal via the Bachalm ( 1536  m ).
