Teri McMinn (born August 18, 1951 in Houston , Texas ) is an American actress and former model . She gained fame through the role of Pam in the 1974 horror film Blood Court in Texas .

Life

Teri McMinn was born in Houston in 1951. After graduating from high school, she attended the Dallas Theater Center and then studied in Austin at both the University of Texas at Austin and St. Edward's University.

By a report in a local newspaper McMinn was the film director and producer Tobe Hooper discovered that her role after an audition Pam in the horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre ( The Texas Chainsaw Massacre offered). One scene in which McMinn's figure of Leatherface , the film's antagonist, is hung on a meat hook, achieved lasting fame . Blood Court in Texas is considered one of the earliest slasher films and remained McMinn's most famous film appearance.

After the film premiered, Teri McMinn starred in various theaters in Texas before taking acting classes in New York and Los Angeles . She also worked as a model for newspaper advertisements and TV commercials and continued to work as a theater actress.

In 1991 Teri McMinn made a guest appearance as herself in the television movie The Horror Hall of Fame II . Since 2009 McMinn has been working again as an actress for horror films. She also appears regularly as a star guest at horror conventions . In 2013, Teri McMinn appeared in archival footage in the sequel Texas Chainsaw 3D along with other Blood Court cast members in Texas .
