Lance Terrell McIntyre (born October 18, 1977 in Fayetteville , North Carolina ) is an American retired basketball player. At a height of 1.75 m, he was active in the position of point guard .
After four years in the NCAA for the Clemson University team , McIntyre moved to BCM Gravelines in Dunkirk, France, in 1999 . The following year he played for Metabox Braunschweig in the basketball league , where he was called to the All-Star Game , but only stayed for half a year after the club's financial difficulties due to the departure of the main sponsor. He then worked for the Fayetteville Patriots in the NBA Development League for two years and reached the final there in 2003. Until 2005 McIntyre played in the second Italian division, first for Carife Ferrara and in the 2004/05 season, which meant promotion to Serie A1 for the club, for Upea Capo d'Orlando . McIntyre was active in the following season for Bipop Carire Reggio Emilia in Serie A1.
He then moved to Montepaschi Siena and was Italian champion with this club in 2007, he was also recognized as the most valuable player of the regular season . In 2008 he received the award as the best player in his position in the 2007/08 Euroleague season , in which he had reached the semi-finals with Montepaschi. Despite being eliminated in the quarter-finals, McIntyre was able to confirm this personal success in the following season with a new nomination for the All Euroleague First Team . In 2009 and 2010, he won the cup and championship double with Siena and was voted the most valuable player in the 2010 final series.
In 2010 McIntyre signed with Unicaja Málaga , where he did not find his way back to his old level of performance after an injury. After a few games for Virtus Bologna , he finally retired in November 2011 due to hip problems.
