The terrorist Point is a headland in the southeastern East Antarctic Ross Island . It lies below and southwest of the summit of Mount Terror and 6.5 km west-northwest of Cape MacKay . It is completely enclosed by the ice masses of the Ross Ice Shelf .
Participants in the British Discovery Expedition (1901–1904) headed by the polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott named it after the HMS Terror , one of two ships of the British polar explorer James Clark Ross on his Antarctic expedition (1839– 1843).
