Terzan 7 is a globular cluster in the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy that was discovered in 1968 by the astronomer Agop Terzan .
While almost all globular clusters in the Milky Way halo formed 12-15 billion years ago, Terzan 7 and a few other globular clusters, mainly belonging to the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy, are assumed to have formed significantly later. These data suggest that Terzan 7 was also created there.
