Palomar 3 ( Pal 3 ) is a globular cluster in the constellation Sextans , around 300,000 light years away. The globular cluster is thus in the outer halo of the Milky Way . Palomar 3 is one of 15 globular clusters found in images from the 1950s Palomar Observatory Sky Survey . Palomar 3 was discovered by Albert George Wilson and Walter Baade in 1952.
