The Beast ( English for "The Beast") is the ninth studio album by the Polish death metal band Vader .
History of origin
In 2003, Marcin "Novy" Nowak, a former member of Behemoth, joined the band. He makes his album debut as bassist for Vader on The Beast .
Krzystof "Docent" Raczkowski was seriously injured while recording the album. The band then had to record the album with session drummer Daray from the Polish black metal band Vesania. A short time after the album was released, Raczkowski had to leave the band because of alcohol problems; he probably died in 2005 as a result of his consumption. After the drummer was kicked out, Daray joined Vader as a full member.
Versions
As a bonus, the album included a second CD with video clips. The song Stranger in the Mirror was available as a bonus song on the Japanese version. The album was preceded by an EP called Beware the Beast , which contained the songs Dark Transmission and Stranger in the Mirror and two video clips. The EP was only available in Poland.
