The Borderline is a nightclub in London's district of Soho . On weekdays, live music from the genres of punk , rock , heavy metal , hip-hop and dance is mainly presented there. Sundays are primarily devoted to country music .

history

The West End basement club has existed since the late 1980s and can accommodate a maximum of 275 visitors. The current owners of the club are MAMA & Company. The venue is considered a talent factory where many young musicians get the opportunity to start their careers. Well-known bands and musicians performed at Borderline, including Texas , Debbie Harry , REM , Rage Against the Machine , Pearl Jam , PJ Harvey , The Verve , Muse , Ben Harper , Crowded House , Jeff Buckley , Amy Winehouse , Lenny Kravitz , Oasis , Mick Jagger , Sheryl Crow and Eric Clapton .
