The Bowl (officially King George V Bowl ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Douglas , Isle of Man . It is mostly used as a football stadium and is home to the Isle of Man football team and the Douglaser club St Marys AFC , which currently plays in the Isle of Man Premier League . The stadium holds around 3,000 spectators.

In addition to the home games of these teams, numerous other Isle of Man football competitions are held in the stadium. These include the Manx FA Cup , the Isle of Man Charity Shield , the Hospital Cup , the Railway Cup and the Isle of Man Tournament , an annual tournament in which amateur teams from Scotland , Ireland , Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man compete against each other . The changing rooms are not located in the stadium, but in the nearby National Sports Center . In addition to soccer games, concerts have also taken place here, for example by Toyah Willcox (2002) or Status Quo .

The Bowl will host the Rugby Seven Games at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games . For this purpose, the stadium is to be renovated for around 2.5 million pounds . It should have a total capacity of 8,000 seats or 4,000 seats ( folding seats ). The name of the stadium should also be changed.
