The Color of Spring is the third studio album by the English band Talk Talk . It was released in March 1986.
music
In terms of music, Talk Talk moved away from the synth-pop influences of the early phase with The Color of Spring . Guitars, piano and organ were increasingly used in songs such as Life's What You Make It , Living in Another World and Give It Up . The sound became more organic and improvisation played an increasingly important role.

reception
The Color of Spring became the band's best-selling studio album, reaching the top 20 in numerous countries. It made it to the top of the Dutch charts. It peaked at number 8 in the UK and stayed on the charts for 21 weeks. In the United States, the record did not quite match the sales of the previous album, but at number 58 it was the last album by the band to hit the Billboard 200. In Germany the album reached number 11, in Austria number 16 and in Switzerland number 3 in the charts.
Life's What You Make It became the band's third international hit after It's My Life and Such a Shame , and the second single Living in Another World also made it into many hit lists.
