The Crimson Ghosts is a German horror punk music group from Cologne, founded in 2001 .

history

Through acquaintances from their former bands and their environment, the members of the Crimson Ghosts came together in 2001 and began as a Misfits co-association. In 2003 contact was made with the horror punk label Fiend Force and a record deal was signed.

Since then, numerous appearances in Germany and abroad, including a. played with popular groups such as Misfits , Biohazard , Toy Dolls , Dropkick Murphys and GBH , as well as completed various shows at major festivals such as the Nord Open Air, the Wave-Gotik-Treffen and the Czech Mighty Sounds . In 2006 they toured for the first time with Blitzkid, and in 2007 they started the “Hellnight 2007” tour with Shadow Reichenstein, The Deep Eynde and The Spook . In 2010 a self-organized tour through Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic took place as part of the Generation Gore Release.

At the end of 2008 the change took place to the label Contra-Light-Records, which one left after the split EP Bloodgods with the English band Army of Walking Corpses .

For health reasons, the drummer and founding member Reverend left the band in early 2016. On April 21, 2016, the previously unknown drummer Suem was announced as the successor to the resigned Reverend and new permanent member of the band. After half a year, Suem surprisingly left the band and was replaced by Demon, who was already known from his band Hellgreaser. After almost a year including a tour through Germany and Russia, Demon also had to leave the band. Old Nick has been a permanent member since January 25, 2018, and is also featured on the new album Yet Not Human .
