The Departed or Cody Canada and the Departed is an American country band on the red-dirt scene.

history

The Departed came into being after the separation of the band Cross Canadian Ragweed in 2010 , with whom Cody Canada had previously been active for 16 years. In addition to Canada, bassist Jeremy Plato had also been a member of the band and was also part of The Departed. Seth James , who had already released two solo albums in 2001 and 2009, became the lead guitarist of the new group . Other members were Steve Littleton (piano) and Dave Bowen (drums).

The first album This Is Indian Land was produced by Adam Odor and released in June 2011. The album reached number 13 in the genre charts . The band released its successor in November 2012. The staff changed once when Chris Doege could be won as the new drummer for the retired Dave Bowen. This placed the group at number 19 on the country charts.
