The Dragtooth is a 3682 m high mountain in the Sierra Nevada in the US - State of California . It lies on the border from Mono County to Tuolumne County and forms the summit of a ridge on Matterhorn Peak and is thus a subsidiary summit of this.
The Dragtooth was first climbed in 1931 by Walter Brem , Glen Dawson and Jules Eichorn from the southwest. Yosemite National Park extends to the south and west of the summit and the Hoover Wilderness to the northeast . To the south lies the Matterhorn Peak, in the southwest the Finger Peaks and in the northwest the Kettle Peak . The dominance is only about 560 meters, the next higher mountain is the Matterhorn Peak.
