The Enemy Within is an American television series directed by Ken Woodruff . The main roles in the spy series play Morris Chestnut as FBI -Agent and Jennifer Carpenter as for treason condemn CIA -Codeknackerin that make a marriage of convenience hunt for enemies of the state who want to destroy from within the United States. The series premiered on February 25, 2019 on NBC and is available in Germany on Prime Video . After the first season aired, NBC announced on May 30, 2019 that it would not continue the series.

In 2015, Erica Shepherd is a decoding expert and deputy director of the CIA and hunts a Russian criminal named Mikhail Vassily Tal - until he uses her daughter's life to blackmail her into providing him with information about the four agents who defused his latest bombs. Erica sees no choice but to follow his instructions. This leads to the murder of the agents, whereupon Erica is arrested by FBI agent Will Keaton and sentenced to 15 consecutive life sentences without parole. Three years later, Tal strikes on American soil, and Keaton's boss persuades him to include Erica as an expert in the investigation. It deals with the conditions and provides information that can be used to stop an attack and catch a suspect. But Tal's network has grown enormously in recent years, and his allies have long been living undercover in the midst of society and politics, waiting for Tal's order to attack the US from within.
