The Epoxies were an American new wave / punk band from Portland (Oregon) , whose music was particularly influenced by synthesizers and the relatively monotonous sounding vocals. The band members all used pseudonyms .
Band history
The group came together in 2000. Her debut album Epoxies , released in 2002, sold 20,000 copies, according to her later label, Fat Wreck Chords . In 2004 the Epoxies played a European tour in support of NOFX ; NOFX frontman Fat Mike participated in the production of their second album, which was released on his label Fat Wreck Chords .
The band was also featured on the Rock Against Bush Vol. 1 sampler . In the second expansion to Sims 2 , released in 2005 , the song Synthesized was recorded again on Simlish and can be heard within the game on the New Wave radio station. Since 2007 it has been quiet around the band. Singer Roxy Epoxy commented on the future of the band in an interview and said that she did not know whether there would be a longer break at the moment or whether the Epoxies had finally separated. The latter, however, would seem more conceivable.
