action

Martin Lomax works as a night watchman in an underground car park in London. The small, overweight man around 40 watches the film Human Centipede on his laptop while on duty . Obsessed with the idea, Martin decides to connect twelve people with one another, each with their mouth on the other's anus. Little by little, Lomax (who doesn’t speak a word in the film) procures his victims, mainly by beating guests in the parking garage with a crowbar and tying their arms and legs with tape. His victims, including a pregnant woman and the actress Ashlynn Yennie (as herself), who starred in the first film, he “collects” in a warehouse.

Between Lomax's hunts through his parking garage, there is also a tiny picture of Lomax's private problems. He was abused by his father, and his attending doctor is obsessed with the "little handicapped boy," as he later calls him.

After capturing twelve people, he begins building the human centipede. To prevent his victims from fleeing, he severed their hamstrings. He knocks out their teeth with a hammer and then uses a staple gun and tape to fix his victims together. During the procedure, the pregnant woman supposedly dies and another man really dies because Lomax is too careless when "operating". Lomax only completes his centipede with ten people.

He wants to check the functionality of his work and feeds the first link in the chain with soup. But since this has no effect, he injects a laxative into all of the limbs to speed up the natural process. Lastly, he must use the favor to satisfy himself by having anal intercourse with the last woman. To intensify their torment, he attaches a spiky device to his member.

The supposedly dead pregnant woman goes into labor and runs out of the warehouse. She gives birth to her child in a car in which she locks herself up. During her escape, she depresses the gas pedal under which her newborn is lying, kills it with it and drives away. The situation spiraled out of control when one of the victims managed to break free from the chain. Frustrated by the failure of the project, Lomax begins to shoot his victims. When he runs out of ammunition, however, he takes a knife and kills the remaining victims. He shows compassion for Yennie, with whom he probably fell in love too. This manages to overwhelm him in the short term, but is still killed by him.

In the last shot you see Lomax again sitting in his room in the underground car park and watching the credits of the film. It remains to be seen whether the action really took place or only in his imagination.

criticism

The film has been consistently described by the critics as unbearable. In his review, critic Roger Ebert describes him as "reprehensible, terrifying, ugly, naive and an insult to human decency."

publication

Due to the drastic representation, The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) was initially banned in England, but then published in abbreviated form, similar to the US.

No publication was officially planned for Germany. Surprisingly, a version was released on July 15, 2013, which, despite the highest possible release, was cut by 17 minutes without any legal concerns. The unabridged version was confiscated nationwide in Germany in May 2014.
