The Interlace is a 1040 residential unit building complex in Singapore .

Designed by OMA and Ole Scheeren , it was named one of the buildings of the year by the World Architecture Festival . In 2014, The Interlace was recognized by CTBUH .

The property has been leased by the Singapore government for 99 years since 2009.

Architecture and equipment

The Interlace consists of blocks of flats (each with six floors) arranged in a hexagon and encompassing eight inner courtyards. The apartment blocks are stacked up to three times (four levels) so that the building complex has 24 floors.

The 170,000 square foot Interlace complex is located on 8 acres on the corner of Depot Road and Alexandra Road. It has 31 blocks of flats with a total of 1040 units from 74 m² to 585 m² in size.

The complex is equipped with swimming pools, a gym, tennis courts, a basketball court, children's playgrounds, karaoke rooms, billiard tables and 1,183 parking spaces.
