The International Association of Music Information Centers

The International Association of Music Information Centers ( IAMIC ) ( German  International Association of Music Information Centers ) is a 1986 established worldwide network of organizations. who document and promote contemporary music. In 2010 IAMIC united 37 members in 36 states. IAMIC is headquartered in Brussels .

Each of the music information centers documents and promotes the serious, popular and popular music of its country, such as contemporary music , classical music , world music , jazz and pop music .

The music information centers keep extensive collections of sheet music, sound recordings, artist biographies and musicological works. They deliver all kinds of music and organize festivals, concerts, competitions and conferences.

While each of the centers is mainly concerned with the music of its own country, IAMIC promotes international exchange and joint music projects.
