The Real Ghostbusters / Episode List

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of episodes of The Real Ghostbusters includes a listing of the episodes of the American animated series The Real Ghostbusters , sorted by the order in which they were first broadcast in the US. A total of 134 episodes in 7 seasons as well as a spin-off season with 13 episodes were produced.

The first broadcast of the series began in the United States on the broadcaster ABC on September 13, 1986. From the second season, the series was broadcast on several channels simultaneously in syndication , with the third season being shown simultaneously on the weekend on ABC. From the fourth season the series was titled Slimer! and the Real Ghostbusters together with the 13-part spin-off Slimer! shown as a one-hour program. In the second half of the fifth season, instead of a half-hour story within the Real Ghostbusters segment, two quarter-hour stories were shown. From season six, the series resumed its original half-hour format, with the new title retained.

In Germany, individual episodes were published on VHS before they were broadcast on television , although they used a different German dubbed version than the television broadcast. The German first broadcast took place on March 31, 1989 in the Friday afternoon program of Sat. 1 , where the first 4 seasons were broadcast. Seasons 5 to 7 and the spin-off were only broadcast later in ProSieben's Saturday morning program.
