The Reddings was an American funk , soul , and R&B band. It was founded in 1980 by Otis Redding's sons Dexter ( bass , vocals ) and Otis III Redding ( guitar ) and cousin Mark Locket ( drums , keyboards ). In 1988 it broke up.
Her most famous songs include "Remote Control" (1980) / "Doin 'it" / "Funkin On The One" / "Class (Is What You Got)" (1981) / " (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay "(1982) /" Hand Dance "(1983) and" The Awakening "(1980).
Their album The Redding was published on 26 November 1988, reached a peak position of # 88 of the US Billboard - Album - Charts . It featured the hit single "Call The Law", which peaked at # 16 on the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart on November 26, 1988 .
In December 1980, Reddings' first album "Remote Control" went to # 6 on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles Chart and peaked at # 89 on the Billboard Hot 100 . The song was used on an episode of the WKRP television show in Cincinnati .
1979-1980 Dexter, Otis III Redding and Mark Locket recorded this album with producers Russell Timmons and Nick Mann in a studio in downtown Washington, DC .
