action
A costume ball is to take place in the last disco in a village in the Irish Gaeltacht . 15 year old Denise is determined to find someone there to make out with. She is preparing for the party with her two friends Cliodhna / Cliny and Rachel. Together they think about what they say with their costumes and how they get on with the boys. Since the costumes should be typically American, Denise finally chooses a Marilyn Monroe outfit, with a blonde hair wig and a white dress. Rachel goes as a cowgirl.

A young man has dressed up as Hillary Clinton
and gives Denise the longed-for kiss after she returns to the party disguised as Donald Trump |
After some alcoholic drinks and the disappointment of kissing a very young man, Denise leaves the party. She feels stupid and ripped off, but she doesn't want to spoil the fun or the opportunity to maybe find someone to snog around after all. Denise comes back disguised as Donald Trump , defends herself against the established conventions at events of this kind and proclaims “Pussys are powerful!” Together with her two friends, she performs a very American dance on stage, and the atmosphere in the hall immediately arises . After the girls have taken the initiative, the event is no longer that dreary.
Then she is approached by a boy who has dressed up as Hillary Clinton . They kiss in the middle of the dance floor, and Denise feels, despite her disguise as a man, like a real woman, like Venus.
