The Sonic Boom Foundation is a four-piece German indie / electro rock band that was formed in February 2006 in Leipzig .
history
The founding members Joey A. Vaising and Steffen Gräfe had already been internationally successful with the band Think About Mutation, which was dissolved in 2002 . After five months, the first album Create Yourself was released in late 2006 ! in self-distribution, which showed the sound of the band: the connection between electronics and rock.
Since 2007 the band has regularly participated in major European music festivals, the most important stations so far have been Open Air Gampel , Nature One , SonneMondSterne , Frequency , Highfield and Juicy Beats .
In 2007 and 2008 they were among the winners of the following national band competitions: Beck's on Stage 2007 (1st place), Coca Cola Soundwave 2007 (2nd place) and the F6 Music Award 2008 (1st place).
In summer 2008 the band signed a contract with VelocitySounds Rec. And the sonic boom foundation , the self-titled label debut in the distribution of Alive, was released .
