The Stump (English for The Stump ) is a 1200 m high and non-iced mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Darwin Mountains of the Transantarctic Mountains, it looms west of Smith Heights . Its strikingly flattened summit towers over the lake in the Wellman Valley by 300 m.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2001 after his appearance.
