The Winery Dogs is the debut album released in 2013 by the American hard rock band The Winery Dogs .

background

After Mike Portnoy and Billy Sheehan had replaced the original co-founder of their then unnamed band, John Sykes , due to his lack of interest in recording the songs that had been written together by guitarist Richie Kotzen , numerous new songs were created by the trio in the course of 2012 . Their quality was so good that the band completely abandoned the titles created with Sykes and instead recorded the newly created material between August and December 2012. Only two titles, namely Damaged and Regret, were already in Kotzen's fund and were brought in by him. The resulting album was named after the band and released in Europe on July 23, 2013.
