Theo Bischoff

Theo Bischoff (born November 7, 1926 in Radolfzell , † November 17, 1997 in Stuttgart ) was a German agricultural scientist, particularly in agricultural engineering, he was professor of process engineering in animal production and agricultural construction at the University of Hohenheim .

Live and act

After graduating in 1946 and doing an agricultural apprenticeship, Bischoff studied agricultural sciences at what was then the Hohenheim Agricultural University (LHH) and graduated in 1951 with a degree in agriculture. With a research assignment from the Federal Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests Bonn, he worked on a dissertation with which he received his doctorate in 1953. agr. the LHH received. As a research assistant at the Institute for Agricultural Economics in Hohenheim and as a research assistant at Daimler Benz AG, he created the prerequisites for his habilitation in the subject of Agricultural Economics in Hohenheim (1962). Bischoff was then a private lecturer and head of the experimental farms of the institute and the agricultural school in Hohenheim . In 1968 he was appointed full professor and holder of the chair of process engineering in animal production and agricultural construction, which he held until his retirement in 1992.
