Theodor Jacobs

Theodor Jacobs (born November 24, 1824 in Fürstenwalde ; † January 4, 1893 in Berlin ) was Admiralty Councilor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Jacobs first attended the community school in Fürstenwalde, then the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Berlin . He studied law and political science in Berlin . He then began his legal career in Frankfurt an der Oder , and later transferred to the military administration. Jacobs participated in the Schleswig-Holstein Army in the campaigns of 1849 and 1850 , most recently as field director. Since March 1854 he was lecturing council in the central naval authority, where he took an excellent part in the creation and training of the navy . Until his resignation in 1872, he was a permanent representative of the naval administration before the parliament.

From 1874 to 1878 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Frankfurt 2 ( Landsberg , Soldin ) and the National Liberal Party .
