Theodor Johann Quistorp
Theodor Johann Quistorp (born April 11, 1722 in Rostock , † May 29, 1776 in Wismar ) was a German lawyer and playwright. As an author he is best known as a student of Johann Christoph Gottsched and for his comedy The Hypochondrist .
Life
Theodor Johann Quistorp was the youngest son of council member Lorenz Gottfried and his wife Anna Maria Berg. Quistorp obtained his doctorate in 1744. jur. and then worked as a procurator and lawyer at the Royal Swedish Tribunal . He became senior tribunal advisor and held the office of director of finance in the Senate College of Wismar.
In 1751 Quistorp married Ursula Charitas Petersen. From this marriage two sons were born.
