Theodor Heinrich Klitzing (born August 8, 1812 in Rostock ; † April 24, 1882 there ) was a German architect and city architect who worked in Rostock.

Theodor Heinrich Klitzing was born on August 8, 1812 as the son of the Rostock businessman Heinrich Christian Klitzing (1772-1845) in Rostock. After successfully studying architecture in Rostock , Klitzing was appointed building manager and lived in Plau for a short time before he moved to Schwerin . There his wife Therese Störzel (1821–1888) presented him with four children. With his appointment as a master builder, Klitzing started working in the seaside town of Rostock, where he lived with his family at Wallstrasse 6 am Rosengarten . His younger brother Ferdinand Klitzing (1807-1883) was the future mayor and magistrate of Plau .
