Theodosius Christian von Frantzius (born March 2, 1735 in Lübeck , † June 18, 1802 in Köslin ) was a German merchant and shipowner .

Theodosius Christian Frantzius was a son of the Lübeck merchant of the same name (1702–1737) and his wife Anna Magdalena Hoffmann (1699–1777). Due to the early death of his father, he received only a moderate education and then went to a trading office in Gdansk as an unskilled clerk . He started a small company that supplied wood to England. In 1765 he was accepted into the Danzig merchants.

In order to save freight costs, he got his own ships over time. He also got into the grain trade, increasing the number of ships to 17 and growing his wealth. Frantzius was appointed a secret councilor and in 1790 received the Polish title of nobility.

The son Johann Gotthard (1769–1849) became a senator and the son Christian (1771–1835) was a merchant and shipowner in Danzig. Due to unfavorable circumstances, the sons could not keep their father's company and had to give it up in 1818.
