Theresa Bäuerlein (* 1980 in Bonn ) is a German author and journalist.

Bäuerlein studied journalism at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the German School of Journalism and graduated with a diploma .

From 2003 to 2008 she was a columnist for Neon magazine . From 2009 to the beginning of 2010 she wrote the column “Conscience Pangs” for Zeit Online, which dealt with ethical questions about food. In 2011 her non-fiction book “Eating Meat - Loving Animals”, which also deals with the subject of food and sustainability, was published by Ludwig Verlag. Theresa Bäuerlein lived in Tel Aviv for years . She processed her experiences there in the book “That was the good part of the day”, the film version of which was released in 2014 under the title Hanna's Journey . She now lives in Berlin .

In Tussikratie , she and Friederike Knüpling take a critical look at the gender debate in Germany. The authors show how little is gained if women only blame men for everything that doesn't work. You are not dealing with a gender problem, but with a class problem, and it would be better to try to change something together.

In 2014 she was part of the founding team of Krautreporter , an online magazine that was financed by the largest German crowdfunding campaign to date .
