Theresa "Theri" Hornich (born January 7, 1991 in Vienna ) is an Austrian ice hockey goalkeeper . She is currently ( as of 2014 ) the only active woman in Austrian men's ice hockey.

Career

Theresa Hornich began her career at the age of five at the Vienna Ice Lion Club , where she was active in all youth teams and always played against male peers.

From 2009 to 2015 she was goalkeeper at the EHC Wiener Wölfe in the Eisner Auto Elite League. She has been playing in the Sky Alps Hockey League at EC "Die Adler" Kitzbühel since 2015 and is the current player in the Austrian women's national team , with which she has already participated in several world championships.

After graduating from AHS, she studied sports science and psychology at the University of Vienna and completed various additional training courses in the field of sports. Since September 2013 she has been an A-license trainer for the ÖEHV .

Theri Hornich has been an integral part of the women's national ice hockey team for several years, which means she has already taken part in several international tournaments and world championships:
