Therese von Miltitz

Therese von Miltitz (born November 16, 1827 in Dresden ; † February 1, 1912 in Schwerin ) was the daughter of Karl Borromäus von Miltitz and his wife Auguste, née. from Watzdorf .

In 1845 she became lady-in-waiting of the Saxon Crown Princess Amalie , whose mother had been her mother.

She was interested in music and literature. So she dealt intensively with Notker , the translator and psalm commentator (around 950 to 1022) from St. Gallen . She got involved with the Old Catholics at an early age , but she intensified this especially after she moved to Bonn in the late 1870s . In addition, she was committed to the formation of Old Catholic women's associations . The women's association in Karlsruhe was founded at her suggestion. At the end of the 1880s she founded a "mission fund to train Old Catholic nurses for sick Old Catholics in the diaspora".
