The Bad Zurzach thermal baths originated from a mineral spring containing Glauber's salt in Bad Zurzach , Switzerland . The water has a natural temperature of 39.9 ° C and comes from a depth of 430 m.

history

In the search for rock salt , drilling through the Swiss soda factory found a warm spring at a depth of 416 meters, which gushed artesian from the borehole. The tests showed that it was excellent mineral water. The economic situation initially made it impossible to develop.

The doctor Martin Erb was convinced of the healing properties of the water and mobilized interested parties in order to be able to generate funds for a further drilling. On September 5, 1955, the time had come: from a depth of 429.6 meters, the 39.9 ° C warm water shot out of the primary rock .

In the Museum Hoefli can be seen to the history of the source an exhibition. The spring is also used for the production of mineral water by the Zurzach mineral spring .

application

The rehabilitation clinic uses the water for complaints of the musculoskeletal system (rheumatism, arthrosis), neurological symptoms (stroke, paralysis, Parkinson's disease) as well as vascular diseases following tumor and cancer diseases and chronic pain conditions.
