Thierry Antinori (born July 26, 1961 in Metz , Lorraine ) is a French manager . From 1999 to 2011 he was Head of Marketing, Product and Sales at Deutsche Lufthansa AG and has held the position of Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer in Doha at the state airline Qatar Airways since 2019. Antinori is also Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Sixt AG , on the DZT Board of Directors and a member of the SaarLB Advisory Board .

Professional background

After completing his studies, Thierry Antinori initially worked for a French management consultancy specializing in retail. In 1986 he moved to Air France . In 1990 Thierry Antinori came to Munich, where he worked for two years as Air France Director for Southern Germany. He then spent another two years as a personal advisor to a board member at Air France's headquarters in Paris. In October 1994 he was appointed General Manager of Air France for Germany based in Frankfurt am Main. Antinori held this position until April 2019 and during his tenure already set the course for the company, including collaborations with Jetblue and Qantas . In September, Qatar Airways announced that Antinori would be the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer in Doha.

To date, Thierry Antinori has won numerous marketing awards, including the award for Chief Marketing Officer of the Year 2009, which is renowned within the industry .

Private

Thierry Antinori is of Italian descent, his grandfather and father were carpenters. He is married to an Ethiopian woman, has two children and currently lives in Doha.
