Thies Goldberg

Thies GJ Goldberg (born February 16, 1962 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg CDU politician .

Life and politics

Thies Goldberg is a trained banker and holds a degree in economics . He has been an independent management consultant at Goldberg Consulting GmbH and owner of an investment company since 1987 . Among other things, he is chairman of the supervisory board of the listed MEDISANA AG, a company in the health care sector.

From March 2004 to March 2011 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . There he sat for his group in the Budget Committee and Economic Committee. He was the budget and finance spokesman and chairman of the public enterprise committee.

Goldberg is a board member in the CDU district association Altona and in the local association Rissen. On May 4, 2011, he was elected to the deputation of the tax authorities by the Hamburg parliament on the proposal of the CDU parliamentary group . In September 2011 Goldberg replaced Harald Boberg, the long-time treasurer of the Hamburg CDU regional association.

In addition to his parliamentary work, he has been an honorary member of the board of the Deutsche Seemannsmission Hamburg-Altona e. V., where as treasurer he is responsible for the finances of the non-profit association.
