Friedrich Wilhelm Vattmann

Friedrich Wilhelm Vattmann (born August 3, 1847 in Haarbrück , today part of the city of Beverungen , † April 12, 1902 in Paderborn ) was the first mayor of the city of Gelsenkirchen from 1877 to 1900 .

On September 20, 1900, the city of Gelsenkirchen granted him honorary citizenship . Vattmannstrasse at the Hans-Sachs-Haus is named after him.
