Thilo Bischoff

Thilo Bischoff (born June 22, 1974 in Essen ) is a German chef .

Career

After training in Cologne , he went to the Hotel Alpenhof in Murnau in 1996 . In 1999 he moved to the Grand Hotel Sonnenbichel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen as sous - chef , in 2000 to the Dom Hotel in Cologne and in 2001 to the Endtenfang restaurant in Celle . 2001 went to the Hotel & Restaurant Leeberghof under (unrelated) Markus Bischoff in Tegernsee , with whom he moved to Bischoff am See am Tegernsee in 2002 .

After attending the master's school in 2004, he started working as head chef at the Relais & Châteaux Alpenhof in Murnau in 2005 , where he was first awarded a Michelin star in 2006.

In March 2014, Bischoff set up his own restaurant Ähndl in Murnau . There he deliberately does not run starred, but upscale restaurants. He also maintains this path in his Haus am See (formerly Lido ), which opened in Seeshaupt in 2017 .
