Thomaner Journal

The Thomaner-Journal is a music journal founded in 2008 by the Thomanerchor Förderkreis , which is the successor to the Almanac or the Thomaner-Almanac (1994–2000). Since 2013 it has been carried out every quarter (previously every six months) by the Förderkreis Thomanerchor Leipzig e. V. and the Thomanerchor Leipzig. The production is the responsibility of the music label Rondeau Production . The editorial team includes Stefan Altner , Teres Urlaub, Patrick Grahl , Frank Hallmann, Sascha Hille, Michael Kampf, Uta-Maria Thiele and Roland Weise. In the editions, events are announced, the “Thomaner-Leben” documented, interviews (among others with Georg Girardet , Christoph Wolff , Ullrich Böhme , Georg Christoph Biller , Albrecht Mayer and Gotthold Schwarz ) are held, motets and cantatas are discussed and “Musicians in Leipzig “(Including Moritz Hauptmann , Erhard Mauersberger , Johann Schelle , Günter Raphael , Günther Ramin , Hans-Joachim Rotzsch , Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Wilhelm Rust ). Herbert Blomstedt , Martin Petzoldt , Christian Führer , Christian Wolff , Max Pommer , Helmut Loos , Hans-Joachim Schulze and Roderich Kreile were available to present the Bach cantatas and other works . The Thomaner-Journal is u. a. in the Electronic Journal Library and the Virtual Library of Musicology . It is also part of the "Bach Bibliography" by Yo Tomita and the online bibliography of the Bach Archive .
