Thomas Åberg

Thomas Åberg (born February 15, 1952 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish composer and organist.

Life

Thomas Åberg had piano lessons from Märta Söderberg. He sang in the Swedish Radio Boys Choir and played rock music in various bands in Stockholm. He took private organ lessons from Tore Nilson. He started composing in the mid-1970s. He made his debut as a composer in 1978. The first time he played the first piece Daylight himself on 16 December 1978 in Skeppsholmen Church Later he published it in the three small pieces of fantasy . From 1981 to 1983 he took composition lessons with Stig Gustav Schönberg . Since 1981 he has worked at STIM . As a concert organist, he goes on concert tours around the world. His compositions are performed by him and other organists at various organ festivals. Since 1986 he has been a member of the Föreningen Svenska Tonsättare [Society of Swedish Composers] .
