Thomas Michael Andreas Bachmann (born June 6, 1986 in Munich ) is a German dancer, choreographer and dance teacher specializing in Boogie-Woogie , Swing , Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing .

successes

Thomas danced 2000–2006 in the formation Boogie Magic's Hohenbrunn , with whom he won two world championship titles (2004, 2005), one European championship (2004), twice the Germany Cup (2004, 2005) and was twice German champion (2005, 2006 ).

2008–2010 Thomas Bachmann and his partner Doreen Weisser were part of the German national team Boogie-Woogie and achieved 18th place at the Boogie-Woogie World Cup 2009 as the best German couple. At that time, Thomas Bachmann and Doreen Weisser were considered the “best current couple” in boogie-woogie.

In 2010 Thomas ended his active Boogie-Woogie tournament career to concentrate mainly on other swing dances such as Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing .

In 2011 he achieved his first successes in West Coast Swing tournaments such as the Liberty Swing Dance Championships.

In 2012 he founded the dance school Swing And The City Augsburg with Christine von Scheidt and regularly teaches swing dances in Augsburg , Munich , Salzburg , Ingolstadt and Regensburg .

In 2014 Thomas won, among other things, the “Budafest”, one of the largest West Coast Swing tournaments in Europe.

In 2015 the dance schools Swing in Augsburg and Swing in Ingolstadt separated from Swing And The City and have been run completely independently since then. At the US Open 2015, he and his partner Verena Guschal felt a respectable 14th place. The two came off as the best German couple.
