Thomas Batuello

Thomas Vann Batuello (born March 31, 1994 in the Bronx , New York City ) is an American actor and musician . He was best known for his role as the cellist of the Naked Brothers Band (NBB) .

Life

Batuello is a founding member of the "Silver Boulders" and the "Naked Brothers Band". In preschool he met Nat Wolff and founded the "Silver Boulders" with him and other friends. At first Batuello played the drums , which he didn't like very much. He started playing the cello at the age of five . In the "Naked Brothers Band" he also occasionally plays the bass .

The Naked Brothers Band

At the age of eleven, Batuello played the cellist Thomas in " The Naked Brothers Band: Der Film " . Based on the film, the television series "The Naked Brothers Band" started on Nickelodeon in 2007 . The children's series is one of the most successful in the USA. From 2004 (the year in which the film was produced) until today, he has been a permanent member of the series. In Germany, the television series ran on Nick under the title: "The Naked Brothers Band: Young Rockstars Private" .

In his role as cellist for the Naked Brothers Band, Batuello plays the band's daredevil. His skills on the cello are respected by the other band members. He tends to make excuses for that. He is considered a free spirit and a rascal. Like all characters in the mockumentary "The Naked Brothers Band", this one is remotely based on the life of the real Thomas Batuello. His character as cellist Thomas and the stories about him are fictional, conceived by screenwriter Polly Draper .

The Naked Brothers Band: The film won the 2005 Audience Award for Best Family Film at the Hamptons Internation Film Festival . In 2008 he was nominated for the Young Artist Award together with the other leading actors of the Naked Brothers Band .
